Open. Defending champions Venus and Serena Williams beat
Cara black and LiezelHuber 6-4 6-3 to clinch their fourth
Australian Open doubles title on 29th January.Serena Williams
claimed her fifth Australian Singles Open crown on Saturday
by beating Justine Henin of Belgium in three sets 6-4
3-6 6-2. Williams have now won 12 Grand slam titles moving
her level with Billie-Jean King in the all time list.
There was also a successful title defence
in the men's doubles as top seeds Boband Mike Bryan
overcame Wimbledon Champions Daniel Nestor and Nenad
Zimonjic 6-3 6-7(5-7) 6-3.It was the Americans' eighth
grand slam doubles title.Britain's Jessica Ennis got
her seaso off to a good start with a sensational 60
m hurdles victory over American World champion Lolo
Jones in Glasgow to a Britishrecord time of 7.95 seconds
on Saturday.
